Elon Musk's Boring Company Has Already Reaped Millions on Pre-Orders For a Flamethrower
Capital Markets, Lifestyle
In case you were unaware, Elon Musk’s Boring Company – which plans to take human beings to Mars or something – is currently taking pre-orders for what it calls the “world’s safest flamethrower.”
The Boring Company Flamethrower, which is apparently being sold for reasons, is fully functional and is meant to “liven up any party!” according to the company’s website. The gadget (weapon?) will set you back $500 USD, not including shipping costs.
You can also buy a fire extinguisher for $30 USD.
As of Tuesday, the company had sold 15,000 units of the flamethrower, according to a tweet from Musk. At $500 a pop for each one, this adds up to about $7.5 million for the Boring Company.
